In 2018, we received a referral to Campervan Rental Shop (CRS) through a trusted associate. At that juncture, CRS possessed a brand identity, a clear vision, and a fervent aspiration to reshape the campervan rental landscape in Australia.

Collaboratively, we embarked on a comprehensive project encompassing various pivotal facets of their business transformation. Our journey encompassed the creation of a distinctive logo, development of a robust UX (user experience) an overhaul of website user experience, the development of an advanced website with an integrated booking engine, seamless integration with their invoicing platform, crafting compelling and launching.

With that complete we moved into dynamic lead generation strategies including Google Ads and Facebook remarketing campaigns. This endeavour proved to be both electrifying and highly fruitful for CRS, setting them on a path to redefine the campervan rental industry in Australia.

Project Brief: The Blueprint

Armed with a compelling vision, deep industry connections, and extensive knowledge, Campervan Rental Shop aimed to redefine the campervan rental experience. Founded by a trailblazer in the industry, CRS aspired to offer clients not just competitive pricing, but unforgettable journeys.

When Gareth approached us, he had a multitude of requirements. He needed a comprehensive brand identity, a distinctive logo, a marketing strategy, and the creation of a user-friendly website that not only engaged visitors but also streamlined backend operations.

Specifically, Gareth envisioned a website that facilitated swift vehicle selection, captured inquiries seamlessly, enabled efficient communication between CRS staff and customers, and generated comprehensive pro-forma invoices for the chosen campervan. Moreover, the website had to support online payments and provide real-time reporting capabilities to the management.

Implementing the Plan

Working with Campervan Rental Shop team, we got under the hood (no pun intended) to determine exactly who CRS are, what they stand for and how they differ to others. With this ascertained we were able to define his brand identity which shaped all communications, table concepts for logos and colour palettes and ultimately move towards creative.

Concurrently, we meticulously charted customer interactions with the brand, optimising user pathways while eliminating potential barriers to conversion. This holistic approach ensured a smooth and efficient user experience.

During website development, our primary focus was simplifying the rental process, recognising that many users were unfamiliar with Australia’s geography and attractions. To address this, we devised a strategy to impart knowledge by creating informative travel itineraries. These not only encouraged repeat visits to the website but also facilitated content sharing, enhancing search engine rankings through information-rich insights.

Measuring the Results

CRS launched its website in April 2018 with ambitious goals and a modest budget. In the initial phase, our efforts were centred on optimising the site for conversions and establishing organic brand recognition. We formulated comprehensive social media plans and executed remarketing strategies to re-engage visitors who had not yet converted.

Our steadfast commitment during the early stages was to gain in-depth insights into market dynamics, user engagement, and traffic sources. Within the first month, we initiated strategies to increase both site traffic and inquiries.

After meticulous observation in the initial months, we fine-tuned our lead generation efforts, resulting in substantial growth in site traffic and a remarkable results. During 2023, (as current at November 2023):

  • The average conversion rate for our PPC campaigns is 18.4%
  • The average CPC is under $0.65
  • We have driven over 170,000 customers to their website
